Privacy Policy

PlayStamp ("the app") is a video-recording utility for capturing games and events and marking the best plays. In short: your videos, audio, and photos never leave your device, the app never collects anything that identifies you, and the only data it shares is anonymous usage statistics — which you can switch off.

What the app accesses (and why)

• Camera & Microphone — to record video and audio, only while you are recording.
• Photos — completed recordings and highlight reels are saved to your device's Photos library. The app requests read access only when you build a highlight reel, so it can read your own recording.

Your recordings, PlayStamp times, and highlight reels are stored on your device and in your own Photos library. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party.

Anonymous usage statistics

To understand which features work and which fail, the app sends anonymous usage statistics: counts of events such as "a recording was completed", "a highlight reel was created", "a recording failed to save", and whether a purchase was completed. Numbers are rounded into broad ranges (for example, a game length is reported as "30–60 minutes", never an exact duration).

These statistics are keyed to a random identifier created on your device. It is not derived from you, your device serial, your Apple Account, or anything else about you, and it is scrambled (salted and hashed) before it is stored, so neither we nor our analytics processor can connect it to you. This is not tracking: nothing is linked with data from other companies, nothing is shared with data brokers, and there is no advertising of any kind.

Usage statistics never include: your videos, audio, photos, or frames from them; file names; the times or contents of your PlayStamps; names, team names, or anything about the people in your recordings; your location; your Apple Account or email; advertising identifiers.

Statistics are processed on our behalf by a privacy-focused analytics service hosted in the European Union. It acts only on our instructions, does not sell data, and does not combine it with data from other apps.

You can switch this off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Share Anonymous Usage Stats. The app works identically either way.

Purchases

PlayStamp offers a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details. The app records only the anonymous fact that a purchase was started, completed, cancelled, or failed, as part of the usage statistics above.

Diagnostics (only if you choose to send them)

The app has an optional Share Diagnostics feature. It is never automatic and never sent in the background — a diagnostic report is generated and shared only when you tap Share Diagnostics and choose to send it (for example, through your email app). If you send one, it goes to sigproductlab@gmail.com and is used solely to diagnose and fix problems.

A diagnostic report contains only technical information, such as: app version and build; device model and iOS version; available storage; Low Power Mode and thermal state; camera / microphone / Photos permission status; non-personal details about your most recent recording session (for example timestamps, number of highlights, and video resolution/format); and a short log of recent app events and errors.

A diagnostic report never includes: your videos, audio, photos, thumbnails, or highlight reels; your Apple ID, email accounts, contacts, or location; your Wi-Fi/network or IP information; advertising identifiers; or your device serial number.

Contacting support

If you use Contact Support, we receive your message and the email address you send it from, used only to reply to you.

Data sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. The anonymous usage statistics described above are processed solely on our behalf and are not personal information.

Children's privacy

The app is made for the adults recording a game. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — and nothing about the people who appear in your recordings ever leaves your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
